With a view to participating in the initiative launched by the Québec government to introduce and develop durable ties with Argentina, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec
(CALQ) recently renewed for three years the reciprocity agreement concluded in 2002 with Secretaria de Cultura of the Presidencia de la Nacion argentina.
The
residence program seeks, in particular, to promote the establishment of
ties and exchanges of artistic viewpoints between Québec and
Argentinean artists, promote the work and career development abroad of
Québec professional artists, and facilitate the identification of new
artistic creation, production and dissemination networks.
Argentina
is a cultural leader in Latin America. Its rich history and cultural
originality, which strongly reflect European influences, make it a
remarkably dynamic country in which numerous artistic currents converge.
