
The cultural organization Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes has been encouraging young artists who are developing new forms of expression by fostering their mobility on the European arts scene through a network of 31 countries.
In response to movements on the contemporary artistic scene, the program of the Pépinières is intended for artists between the ages of 20 and 35 in all fields who are initiating new approaches incorporating visual arts and other forms of expressions. The program offers support prior and subsequent to the residency, fosters receptiveness to different forms of artistic expression and encourages multiple experiences, multi-disciplinary activity and mutual fulfillment.

Artists 35 years of age or under.
Location
Québec has participated for over ten years in the cultural organization Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes. The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec assumes the role of national coordinator for this association. This organization encompasses 31 countries (including Québec) and 160 partners who share the same values. The Conseil's participation in this organization enables young Québec artists to apply for residence programs offered throughout Europe.
In exchange, the Conseil hosts young European professionals in Québec City (in collaboration with la coopérative Méduse and Québec City), in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (in collaboration with the Centre Est-Nord-Est and the municipality) and in Montréal (in collaboration with Les Productions Réalisations indépendantes de Montréal - PRIM, LADMMI, l'école de danse contemporaine and the City of Montréal) and in Alma (in collaboration with Langage Plus, SAGAMIE and the city of Alma).
Length of stays and amount of the grant
For all stays, housing is provided free of charge in addition to an
artistic grant covering living
expenses and the cost of carrying out an artistic project.
