Dancer, choreographer, and educator, Lucie Boissinot knows how to fly and give others wings. Over the course of 45 years, she has performed some 50 roles created by over 20 choreographers and trained hundreds of students at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal.

As artistic and program director, she has developed programs to prepare up-and-coming artists for the realities of the dance world, being familiar with the hopes, strengths, and precariousness of that world. She has also increased the number of partnerships and introduced over 270 events for choreographic transmission, contributing to handovers, renewal, and vitality in dance creation.

Lucie Boissinot’s spirited temperament has always been accompanied by great compassion. She combines an elegance of feeling with emotional intelligence on stage, in class, and in life. Through her considered judgement, visionary spirit, and dedication, the woman who was the muse to Jean-Pierre Perreault has inspired generations of artists to become masters of gesture and rock the boat with their whole bodies so that their heart can be heard.
